Através da casa de Manchester, Whithead, Sumner & Harker Co., John Harker com o seu sócio Gerald Sumner, dedicaram-se à comercialização de máquinas industriais e para a agricultura. Em 1896 criaram uma filial em Lisboa, a Harker Sumner & Co., com a primeira sede conhecida, inaugurada em 1904 em Lisboa. Com satisfação e orgulho afirmamos ter sido pioneiros, fazendo história com a nossa participação na industrialização de Portugal desde finais do século XIX. No início, sob o comando de John Harker, depois com a liderança de Carlos Hargreaves e mais recentemente sob a orientação de Tomaz Hargreaves, todos contando com colaboradores de elevado nível e equipas empenhadas, atravessamos todo o século XX, continuando até aos dias de HOJE!

Desde 2012 sob a denominação de Harker Solutions SA, diversificamos, com a oferta de soluções, produtos e serviços.

Somos referência no mercado e temos reconhecimento. Nas indústrias transformadoras e extractivas, utilizamos tecnologias inovadoras de automação; integramos força motriz em redes de comunicação nas quais os accionamentos dialogam entre si, complementados por componentes de transmissão de potência, pneumática, movimentação e controlo de movimento.

Cultivamos a relação com o Cliente e entendemos as suas necessidades, por via da grande proximidade que buscamos continuadamente.

Through the Manchester headquarters, Whithead, Sumner & Harker Co., John Harker and his partners Gerald Sumner, were dedicated to the trading of industrial machinery and equipment for the agriculture sector. In 1896 they started the Lisbon branch, the Harker Sumner & Co., being its first known office inaugurated in 1904. It is with satisfaction and pride that we emphasize we have been pioneers, making history with our participation in the industrialization of Portugal since the end of the 19th century. At the beginning, under the command of John Harker, then followed by the leadership of Carlos Hargreaves and more recently under the direction of Tomaz Hargreaves, all supported by the highly qualified collaborators and committed teams, we have crossed the entire 20th century, persisting until TODAY.

Since 2012 under the name of Harker Solutions SA, we have expanded, offering a number of solutions, products and services.

We are a reference in the marketplace and we have its respect. In the manufacturing and extractive industries, we apply innovative automation technologies and we integrate driving power in communication networks in which the drives dialogue among them, complemented by power transmission components, pneumatics, handling and motion control.

We build relationships with Customers and we understand their needs, due to the very close proximity we are continuously searching for.

We have been guided by ethic values of responsibility, integrity, honesty, respect and confidence for many years.

We work for manufacturing industries, namely: food and beverage; automotive; printing industries; wood and cork; paper pulp and paper; plastics and tires; textile; glass and ceramics and also extractive industries.
