Portugal has maintained its position as a choice partner country for many of the industry’s major players for nearshoring, outsourcing and establishing branch operations. With the likes of Google, Uber, PipeDrive, Salsify, Cloudflare and even Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz, having opened technology-focused hubs in Portugal whilst others opted to outsource skills and teams from here.

The UK’s own incredible success in digital growth has put an enormous strain on the locally available talent pool resulting in sky-rocketing salary expectations and an ever diminishing number of applicants to choose from, thus making partnering with lesser cost-based entities an attractive option.

Why Portugal? It is renowned for the abundance of its highly skilled and English-speaking graduates. Being on the same time zone and the geographical proximity are other noteworthy factors which differentiate it from other counties.

In our capacity as the bilateral British-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce entrusted with the role of identifying opportunities and potential synergies we are presenting an online seminar where we will introduce five selected Portuguese companies with experience in Fintech, Industry 4.0, Automotive, E-commerce, Banking, IoT, MedTech and Pharma sectors, who will give presentations on how they can add value to UK based companies which may be considering forming new partnerships, identifying new suppliers or out-staffing.
