The British-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the next Business Breakfast in the Algarve: “State Budget 2019 – an uneventful one? Moneris Budget Analysis”:
The State Budget for 2019 comes with no big surprises.
Effectively, the Portuguese Magna Carta that will rule in 2019 continues to pursue tax policies that consolidate the existing tax pressure both on families and corporations. Nonetheless, it is usually said that no news is good news for investors and business in general, and indeed one cannot say this is an electoral budget.
Although families are indeed the focus of some mild tax relief, the maintenance of most of the existing tax incentives for companies is, in the end, good news. Overall an uneventful budget, drafted under the assumption of a favourable macroeconomic environment and continued economic growth.
The session will allow our members ample time to discuss these and other questions they might have, but also to share their experiences and learn from each other. As usual there will also be ample time during and after the session for our members to network and engage with the speaker on matters of interest!
