The Valley of the Stars is a boutique “eco-luxe” tourism lodge in the countryside on the southwestern coast of Alentejo, where peace and quiet, stunning views, storytelling and wine are at the core of the experience. Founders Ana and Alastair run the property with only the power of the sun, and have created a unique off-grid property which is ecological, but also luxurious. Their Clubhouse and wine tasting room provides space for events and training retreats. Ana is a Swedish ex-diplomat with Portuguese roots, and Alastair is a former BBC foreign correspondent, freelance journalist, blogger and consultant. After years of globetrotting they’ve made the Alentejo their home and host a podcast about Portuguese history and wine.
