The co-founders of the Valley of the Stars are developing a boutique off-grid tourism lodge in the countryside on the southwestern coast of Alentejo. Wine is at the core of Ana and Alastair’s business, and they’re currently producing a podcast on the wines of Portugal for an English-speaking audience. A tasting room, restaurant and small vineyard are planned for the lodge alongside a small production studio where they’ll focus on audio and video, training and storytelling. Ana is a Swedish ex-diplomat with Portuguese roots, and Alastair is a former BBC foreign correspondent, writer, blogger, VR filmmaker and experienced moderator. After years of globetrotting they’ve made the Alentejo their home.
