Jim Player moved to the Algarve with his young family in 1968. In 1980, he started up Jim Player Real Estate & Insurance and this was one of the first insurance agency in the Almancil area.

Jim died in November 2007, but his legacy still lives on and continues to grow, now under the management of Fátima Gonçalves.
