Quinta do Barranco Longo is located between the hills of the Algarve’s interior and its coastline. The project is led by winemaker Rui Virgínia, who had the idea of making an individual, daring and quality wine and of turning the Algarve into a premium wine region. He has surrounded himself with a young and qualified team, made a model vineyard of his estate and has combined tradition with technology in his winery.
Quinta do Barranco Longo’s winery is set with the most modern and cutting-edge equipment and all the work and endeavour put into the knowledge of the vineyards, of the grape varieties and of the winemaking techniques result in the making of wines with a strong personality and a very individual style.
The winemaking is processed in stainless steel vats with temperature control, ensured by a safe and high power cooling system, and the winery is also set with a filling line and equipment for the production of sparkling wines. In what presses are concerned it has the most modern and efficient available in the market, and the aging room is equipped with the best American, French and Hungarian oak barrels.
Quinta do Barranco Longo, currently with a portfolio of 20 wines and an average yearly production of 120 thousand litres of wine, is present in the Algarve’s finest restaurants and wine shops. Make sure you try one!
