British-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce think-tank lunch – “The Fourth Industrial Revolution – where will all the jobs go?”
Conceivably many of the functions currently performed by lawyers, accountants, pilots, drivers, surgeons, etc, could at least in part be automated. Advocates of AI will argue that this will release humans from mundane and repetitive tasks and enable us to focus on the more creative activities. How prepared is the existing workforce to adapt to such rapid change? How vulnerable are we to being manipulated by the guardians of AI? What are the ethical and legal implications on acting upon AI instruction? Under the quirky title of “The Fourth Industrial Revolution – where will the jobs go?” the British-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce continues its series of thought-provoking events where we assemble a group of professionals from a cross-section of disciplines to share their perspectives relating to emerging trends which will impact on the workplace.
