Prestigious cliff top property, VILA VITA Parc Resort & Spa marks the official start of the summer season in The Algarve with the introduction of its new-look Armação Beach Club. The stylish club stretches across 300 metres of powder soft sand on the idyllic Armação de Pêra beach with a new wooden walkway linking the three restaurants, watersports station and ample sunbathing area.

This summer guests will have the choice of three tantalising restaurants serving an array of delicious fresh seafood, salads and grilled meats including:

  • Só Verão (open only in summer) – the newly-renovated restaurant serves a tempting selection of petiscos (Portuguese tapas) including ctopus salad, sautéed squid, clams bulhão pato, broken eggs and prosciutto, Monchique presunto (cured ham) and locally-caught fish of the day.
  • Praia Dourada – with a focus on delicious balanced and healthy dishes such as fish tacos, veggie burgers, watermelon gazpacho and poké bowls.
  • Arte Náutica lends itself well to long lingering lunches with an elegant menu specialising in fresh fish and seafood dishes, including the speciality dish Mozambique-style prawn curry.

Drinks and dishes from all three restaurants can also be served directly on the beach for guests not wishing to leave the comfort of their sun loungers.

Watersports fans can enjoy jet ski, sailing, stand-up paddle, kayaking and pedal boats with slides into the water, all available for hire from the water sports area. The beach is also fully supervised by fully trained lifeguards during the warmer months. After all that exertion, there are comfy sun loungers and parasols a plenty, perfect for sinking into for an afternoon snooze or with a good book.

In celebration of the arrival of summer, a number of lively new events have been introduced including Sunset sessions at Praia Dourada with creative cocktails and a resident DJ playing rhythmic beats and every Sunday lunchtime in Praia Dourada will see a relaxed Caribbean-themed Beach BBQ accompanied by live music from band, Ben & The Pirates.

Another new addition for summer 2019 is the introduction of a shuttle service for those arriving at the beach club by private yacht, allowing them to dock the boat in the designated VILA VITA PARC sea corridor, followed by a water transfer to the restaurants.

As part of the development and expansion of the Armação Beach Club, VILA VITA PARC is committed to the conservation of the beach and the surrounding area, ensuring that sustainability is top of mind and the preservation of the marine life, with a firm commitment to reduce to not using plastic bottles at the beach club/resort, not using plastic straws and biodegradable packaging.
