The British-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its first webinar: \u201cThe impact of COVID-19 on contracts: how can I help my business survive?\u201d:<\/p>\n

The recent and unpredictable developments of this new pandemic called COVID-19 raised several problems and issues amongst companies, not only regarding labour issues and tax, but especially regarding their contractual relationships and the obligations foreseen with suppliers and clients.
\nThis brief webinar intends to point out some possible solutions for companies in their current trading (if any), and recommendations to be adopted under contract interpretation, as well as a brief overview about the possibilities of terminating or suspending contracts with third parties.<\/p>\n

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:<\/strong>
\nCarmen Baptista Rosa<\/strong> heads PLMJ\u2019s Faro office. With 17 years of experience, she works in litigation and arbitration, contracts, international trade and business law, specialising in civil litigation and commercial contracts. She has a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, an LLM in international trade and business law from the Faculty of Law of Universidade Cat\u00f3lica Portuguesa and she completed an extension course in arbitration at the Faculty of Law of Universidade Nova de Lisboa.<\/p>\n

This event will be open to BPCC Members only and in order to ensure your booking your registration must be made by the 25th March at 5.00pm, at the latest.<\/strong>
