In 2015, the year before the referendum, only 422 Portuguese had acquired British nationality, an amount that has grown rapidly since then: 627 in 2016, 1,234 in 2017, 1,906 in 2018 and 2,227 in 2019.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-2e0ae34\" data-id=\"2e0ae34\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e2c3c11 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"e2c3c11\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/bpcc.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/BritNationals-HP.png\" class=\"attachment-large size-large wp-image-70556\" alt=\"Essential -
