International estate agency Fine & Country is opening a new office in Chiado, Lisbon on the 1st February 2015. Fine & Country Chiado, which is located at the very heart of Lisbon, is joining the network of estate agents in over 300 locations worldwide, representing the brand’s expansion in Portugal.

The new office will specialise in marketing, promotion and sale of luxury residential and tourist real estate in the areas of Greater Lisbon and Cascais & Estoril. There will also be focus on the promotion of the Portugal Golden Residency Permit to non-EU nationals who are required to purchase a property in excess of €500,000 to qualify.

Fine & Country Chiado, Lisbon will deal with the luxury end of the market in Chiado, Principe Real, the Baixa and Lapa. This will include individual villas and penthouse apartments ranging from €1,000,000 and €4,000,000, all within easy reach of the historic centre.

Owners of the business Charles Roberts and Nuno Durão are launching The Chiado office following a very successful 2 years for Fine & Country Portugal. Nuno comments, “The market has been very good for the past two years. This was primarily driven by the Golden Residency Permit and Portugal’s Non Habitual Residence Tax Laws that permit foreign applicants to have zero taxation on their pension and investment income. The result was €45,000,000 of sales in both 2013 and 2014.”

Charles Roberts, Managing Partner of Fine & Country Chiado, Lisbon says, “The Fine & Country brand is becoming more well-known and established in Portugal everyday with large offices in Estoril, Lisbon and three offices in the Algarve. We are moving our Lisbon office to bigger and better premises due to the success of the brand. We hope to be opening yet another new office in Comporta (Blue Coast) south of Lisbon in March 2015 and a second Lisbon office in the latter half of 2015.”
