Meeting World Traders Livery Company
Meeting World Traders Livery Company, 8 Sept, 3pm
As you know, the British-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (BPCC) aims to bring together a variety of professionals from all backgrounds to promote collaboration and productive idea sharing with regards to creating new partnerships.
We have recently been approached by the London City Livery Company which enquired whether it would be possible to organise a courtesy meeting with a few BPCC Board Directors and BPCC Northern members in order to discuss interests, shared issues and ideas.
As their name clearly states, their primary focus is international trade. Led by their Master Robert Woodthorpe Browne BEM, the members represent an array of senior professionals in international trading – finance, insurance, commodities, property, related consulting services as well as a handful of lawyers and senior officers.
The website for the Livery Company is: http://www.world-traders.org/
We would like to set up a meeting on Friday 8 September 2017 at the Pestana Vintage Hotel in Ribeira, Porto, to which you are all invited.
The meeting, which would begin at 3pm, shouldn’t last any more than 1h00 to 1h30. We suggest starting discussions with a short introduction from BPCC leaders regarding our organisation’s role and activities, mentioning and emphasising upon trade between Portugal and the UK as well as the existing opportunities and threats for the British trading community within Portugal. The meeting will be pursued by a round-table discussion to cover topics such as issues raised by Brexit, building new trading relationships and fostering new partnerships.
If this is of interest to you and whether you would be willing to participate, please do get in touch no later than 28 August 2017 by email to email@example.com
